Sunrise Elementary School had a Big problem. Their new librarian, Miss Lotta Scales, was a real dragon. This months challenge was to read something from my shelf that was a Recommended Read. I'm....taking a bit of an easy route with this one. My life is still in a bit of upheaval, so I'm doing a children's book that was recommended to me just a few weeks ago!
BUT LOOK AT IT!!!
It is adorable.
Very cute!
I adore Lotta Scales. I wish I had a Dragon as a librarian when I was in elementary school! The story is about an elementary school putting a call out for a children's librarian. You see the library is in disarray!
So Lotta Scales comes in and is uber militant about the library! The kids can't touch the books!!!
Then one day, Molly comes in and starts reading a book out loud. Her classmates gather around and Lotta sees how beneficial books can to children!
Lotta takes the book, and starts reading out loud....
and turns into Lotty!!
Sort of....
You see, she still has a tale sticking out of her dress...
Because sometimes "every librarian needs to be a bit of a dragon"!
One of my favourite parts of the book is the actual artwork. There are so many things to look at in the pictures.
Also, I have a stuffed doll!! You flip the dress around and on one side she's the dragon and on the other it's Lotty the Librarian!!!
Ultimately, it's a very cute book!
